Enslavement Mystery Weekend
From PlotBunnies
Originally an idea for a kind of party, this developed into an idea for a story set at such a party.
[edit] The Party
This was my original idea ... it wasn't for a story, but a fun themed party for people into dominance/submission or just for open minded people.
The idea is that it's like a murder mystery weekend, but with manipulation instead of murder. One person is a mysterious 'slavemaster' who is given a set of "magic" collars at the start of the weekend. The event would take place in a big house somewhere; I'm sure you can imagine the setting. Everyone can either come as themselves, or play the role of a fictional character they made or chose for the weekend.
From what I've seen, a murder mystery game usually involves someone going "Hey, you're dead now, time to go." Or the murderer and victims are all staff. In either case, they're not having as much fun as anyone else. So for my version, the slavemaster actually has a challenge - he has to get someone alone and put the collar on them. Maybe he can put it on their head like a tiara or something, so you don't have any struggling. But according to the rules, once you've been collared, you have to obey the slavemaster, and you can't do anything to identify him.
If you figure out who the slavemaster is, you can confront him. If you got it right, he'll offer to buy you off with a collar to play with by yourself, or maybe one of his slaves. But you're only allowed to make one confrontation, and you have to do it in certain rooms (public spaces with cameras, so you can get the "big reveal" on film as a souvenir).
At the end of the game, there's a prize for the successful detectives; and also rewards for good sportsmanship, good acting etc. (so a slave who follows the "no telling" rule well can get a prize)
Depending on the group, a game like this could have a variety of limits on what the slavemaster can demand. Or maybe each person can fill in a little card beforehand.
[edit] The Story
A story, based around the above idea. A couple of friends show up, and get introduced to the other guests. Diana Hatsukoi is alone, but quickly makes friends with another guest, Pete Chartreuse. They develop a friendly rivalry, as both decide they like the look of fireman Jake Black, who they christen "Himbo Eye-candy". Other guests include accountant Ruby Slade, celebrating her recent divorce, Dr Ernest Gelbe, an gent who got tickets as a regifted present from his grandkids, stage hypnotist Malcolm Teale, as well as fashionista and professional celebrity Josefine Clancy who's brought along her current 'project', up-and-coming actress Jian Li.
A short way into the weekend, Gelbe is the first to become a slave. He smiles happily, as he wanders around the dinner table pouring wine for everyone, behaving a perfect gentleman's gentleman with an amused twinkle in his eye. This is a good omen; the weekend is going to be a lot of fun.
Afterwards, Pete comments to Diana that he thought he's seen Jake holding the bag of collars. Maybe they should search his room to be sure, before going to a full accusation. But of course - his room isn't an accusation room,so if he catches you there, he could enslave you. Diana admits she'd be interested to see what he'd demand; fantasising a little about being dominated by the butch manly-man. Pete whips out his 'limits card', and adds "strip" to what the slavemaster can demand. "Well," he says, "you never know." Not to be outdone, they take turns trying to outdo the other in how much they'd allow Jake to get away with.
They search Jake's room, but don't find the collars. They decide to wait for him to return, and ask him. If he isn't the slavemaster, nothing's lost. If he is, one of the two would probably be enslaved, leaving the other to accuse him officially. Its a win-win situation. But then they're distracted by someone ringing the dinner bell - an accusation has been made in the bar. They dash off to see what's going on.
In the bar, Malcolm points the finger at Ruby. But she isn't the slavemaster, so he's lost his chance at 'winning'. He looks crestfallen; he says that with his regular job, he was sure in his ability to read people. As the group slowly disperses, Gelbe asks Malcolm to show off his skills, entertain the others. The old man has a twinkle in his eye, enjoying himself for the first time in many years, much to his surprise. Someone suggests that he hypnotise the group, so they really can't disobey the "magic" collars. After a little discussion, he agrees to try. Diana, Jake, Ruby and Jian are up for this little "optional extra", while the others either don't believe it can work, or think they've gone far enough outside the ordinary by being here. The hypnosis works pretty well for 3 of them, as they're only agreeing to what they've already agreed to do anyway, and the limits on their cards reassure them that it is safe.
The next morning, Pete and Diana go to confront Jake (though not as an 'official' accusation - they're too interested to find out what he'll make them do, and aren't too bothered about the prize). But Jake already has a collar on, and seems rather confused. The two head back to Pete's room to see if they can solve the mystery together. But they get sidetracked talking about what being "under Jake's power" would have been like. They get aroused, and kiss ... and then Diana sees movement from the corner of her eye, and she jerks back to see his hand going to take a collar from his nightstand drawer.
She panics for a moment; wondering if he had this planned all along, even persuading her to add those things to her limits card. Pete tries to collar her, but she jerks away (scratching her neck on the buckle) and runs out of the room. She finds Malcolm in the billiard room, and gives a slightly panicked account of what happened. "If he follows me in here, we can confront him." Malcolm offers to get her a drink from his mini-bar to calm her nerves, and then a band aid for the small cut on her neck. She's grateful, and asks if he can also remove the hypnosis, because she's written a few things on her card she wishes she hadn't, and can't erase them because its magic marker. He looks at the card, and then says he'll do it as soon as she's calmed down. So she sips a drink, eyes on the doorway, while he carefully puts the band-aid on the back of her neck. Followed, a few seconds later, by the click of a collar closing.
Pete comes in shortly afterwards. He pulls his shirt collar down a bit to reveal he already had a 'magic' one. Malcolm tells him he can have Jake now (without post hypnotic suggestions, Pete needed an incentive to obey an instruction like delivering Diana to the slavemaster in the right emotional state to make her unable to resist)
Not quite sure how I'd wrap that up ... no doubt at least one person would suggest a laundry list of sex acts for the two couples, but I feel that's a bit of a weak way to conclude what I'd like to present as a "mystery with erotic moments".
